2008 Team News, Updates, Shoot ResultsPlymouth Gun Club's Jim Sable named ATA Coach of the Year Congratulations to Jim and thanks to all the volunteers at Plymouth for letting us shoot at their club. Twelve students were recognized by the school for their shooting skills during the 2008 season. Receiving MHS letters were John Wenner, Zach Akins, Tim Pearson, David Shrempp, Nate Wade, David Plaziak, Cody Ziemer, David Schneider, Ethan King, Tucker Pearson, Nick Ronnei, and David Knoblauch. Students earned their letters based on their season average or their results at the Minnesota State Trap Shooting Championship. Congratulations shooters! Youth trap shooters to appear on Kent Herbeck Outdoors September 21st. The show was filmed back in May at the Plymouth Gun Club and featured shooters from Minnetonka High School Trap & Skeet Team as well as shooters from other Classic Lakes Conference teams. Team qualified for the Grand American Trap Tournament in Sparta, IL. After placing 2nd on July 12th at the MN State SCTP Trap Championship, MHS Trap & Skeet Junior High squad qualified for the SCTP National Trap Championship at the Grand American Trap Tournament in Sparta, IL August 3rd-5th. Click here for results, MN SCTP. MHS Trap & Skeet Junior High squad wins 2008 MN State Trap Tournament. On July 7th at the MN State Trap tournament MHS won 1st place. The squad consisted of Tim Pearson, David Plaziak, Dakota Ziemer, Hunter Murphy, and David Schneider. Many of the boys shot their best scores ever. Congratulations for this huge win! Click on the hyper link for results. 2008 Minnesota State Trap Tournament Results. On July 12th MHS Senior John Wenner won first place in the junior division at the Minnesota Singles Championship. John shot a 190x200. Congratulations for a great win under extremely windy conditions! Click for results. 2008 Classic Lakes Conference (CLC) Championship Tournament. MHS Varsity Squad#1 wins the CLC Championship for the second year in a row. Lead by High Over All (HOA) Champion John Wenner's 50 straight, the team bested strong squads from Hopkins, Wayzata, and Armstrong. Minnetonka and Wenner were also the 2007 Varsity and HOA Champions.
